Luna
About us
Luna provides end-to-end import support services for the enterprises from Poland and other Central and Eastern-European countries. The scope of our business activity includes the entire import process, from the preparation of a business enquiry, carrying out negotiations with a manufacturer, through the supervision of the production process, to the organization of transport and customs. We are happy to know that through the long-term cooperation we have become a trustworthy, reliable partner for many of our customers, indispensable in building their position on the market.

Our success in the import business resulted in media renown and educational activity. The owner of Luna, Mrs. Jaga Szymanowska, has written numerous articles (i.a. in Rzeczpospolita, Nasz Rynek Kapitałowy) and participated in TV programs and scientific sessions devoted to economic relations with China. She also conducts training sessions for the Polish businesspeople. Mrs. Szymanowska often gives business presentations, e.g. at the international fair in Kielce, where the representatives of Chinese companies are present, or at the annual meeting of the Allegro sellers in Poznań.

Luna comprises experienced employees in Poland and company representatives in the People's Republic of China. Our experience and proven work methods effectively compensate for the fact that Polish universities lack specific educational offers to create specialists in this branch of business. Our presence in Asia and the knowledge of its economy guarantee the efficacy of our actions.

For many years we have cooperated with companies from various business branches, with different needs and expectations in terms of import. The experience thus gained enabled us to work out the best system of serving our customers. We take into account their business specifics and individual needs and customize our working methods accordingly. Our experience lets us help and advise our partners in the execution of import operations, as well as in the economic analysis of their enterprises and establishing an effective system of the safe import activity. We cooperate both with small family companies and huge joint ventures.

Luna has been established in 1983. Mrs. Jaga Szymanowska, an architect, after a few years' work at the Krakow Technical University and in a design office decided to bring to life one of her ideas and opened one of the first art galleries in Poland, by name of The Dyehouse (Farbiarnia). Owing to its cooperation with excellent designers and manufacturers, the company had been voted the best of its kind in Poland in 1985-86 by The Institute of Industrial Design. It is then when we have widened the scope of our business by jewelry trade and the import of goods related to design in the broad meaning of the word. In the 1980s, Mrs. Szymanowska, the owner of the company, founded and became the head of the joint venture Artdom involved in the manufacturing of home decor elements and trade with Eastern partners. The next step was to initiate import from Hong Kong, and after the year 2000 from China, initially only to meet the company's own needs. In 2002, based on the company's experience, Luna has begun to provide import support services for other enterprises. Since 2003, Mrs. Szymanowska has been conducting training sessions for Polish businesspeople, currently in cooperation with the company Eksportuj.pl. Up to this date, Mrs. Szymanowska has trained representatives of hundreds of companies.
